History of TPG
TPG was formerly known as SP Telemedia Limited. In 2008, TPG and Soul merged together to create TPG Holdings Limited. This created a group with annual revenues of almost $500 million and strong profits.
In March 2010, TPG acquired Pipe Networks. This provided TPG with access to a large fibre optic network within Australia. TPG also gained access to the entire Pipe Pacific Cable (PPC-1) which links Sydney and Guam, and onwards with the rest of the world.
TPG has enjoyed sustained growth in the Australian network. Because TPG has their own infrastructure network, they have been able to provide high quality services. TPG started its offerings with broadcast television; today their services include fixed line, fibre and wireless services which connect voice and Internet customers throughout Australia.
